Green June Beetle Render

3D Illustration of a Green June Beetle.  I like to create different June Beetles once every decade to see how technology and techniques have changed and remained the same.  Very fun piece to make and learn from.  Zbrush and Keyshot.

Serpent Creature WIP

Further refining the tongue, teeth, and interior mouth. Playing around with some quick colors. Original inspiration for this piece came from a great concept by Sangjun Lee.

Well, bad news and good news. My computers with most of my past artwork over the years is gone, a few months back. Most of my recent works in progress are gone with it, which was a hard wake up call. Fortunately, I have really old versions I have to start over with. Included is this old serpent zbrush piece I dug up and started reworking on recently. Originally started in the early 2000's when I was first jumping into Zbrush 2. Added details and working out the colors schemes and patterns at the moment in Zbrush 4 R2.

Boo!

I've kind of missed traditional mediums and wanted to play with pastels again and make a painting of Boo, for my mom. It sure felt good to get my hands dirty for a change.

DC's LOBO Zbrush wip

Further adjusting proportions, mainly in the chest, ribs, and back to better match the thickness of the arms and legs, thanks to friends suggestions and fresh eyes. That's the problem with staring at artwork for too long. Your eyes become numb to the image.

More Character Development with Zbrush

Character Exploration

Awesome concepts by Joshua James Shaw and Adam Fenton.  Zbrush character development, but unfortunately cancelled title under THQ.

Bodypaint tests

Seeing if Bodypaint could handle polygons from Zbrush and sure enough it did a nice job.

THQ's Legends of Wrestlemania

For this assignment I had to take existing game models, from Yuke's, pose them and make them look like their real counterparts, used for character menu selection.  30+ within a couple months.  Phew that was a biyattch!
